The concept is a simple one...a dedicated set of injector nozzles gravity feed / vacuum feed methanol into the intake area allowing the bike to idle on alcohol without having to fog it into the carb or injector.
This allows hands free idling of the motor on alcohol until there is sufficient heat built in the chambers to light the Nitro. Also the motor can run for extended periods in the pits to allow timing checks, engine break-in, etc.....without getting overly warm or milked up with expensive Nitro.
Then after the motor is run on Nitro you can flip back over to alky to burn all the Nitro out of the chambers. This is an idle only setup.....clutch seating or anything requiring the throttle be worked will require the fuel system be on.
I ran approx 1/2 a gallon of alky thru my motor yesterday...shutting off and restarting a few times without even a shot of gas down the carb. The needle valve seemed to afford me precise control over the methanol and how quickly the motor built heat.
